If your pet has eaten something you are worried about, contact a veterinarian now rather than waiting to research it. Speed matters more than certainty about the exact amount.
What helps when you call
- The animal, its rough weight, and its age.
- What it ate, including the packaging or plant if you still have it.
- Roughly how much, and how long ago.
- Any symptoms you have noticed, such as vomiting, drooling, or unusual quietness.
Do not try to make your pet vomit unless a veterinarian tells you to. Some substances cause more harm on the way back up.
